I open an internet cafe at Patong beach on October 1998. It was the first internet cafe at Patong Beach ( on the beach front). The rate was 300 baht per hour and 60 baht for a cup of cappucino. Many tourist from Europe said the price was very cheap (but very expensive for Thai). I paid 200,000 to the land lord for key money with only one year contract and paid 30,000 baht for monthly rental fee. Anyway, it's made good profit and gave a good service to the beach lover. 
April 2004 , the land lord told me he want to sell his land and building to a new investor from German. So I have to move out quickly otherwise I have to pay 300% up more than usual ! I was so angry but I can't do anything.Then I move to a new location in Phuket town.
I can't believe after I move from there just only a few months , The Tsunami big wave hit Patong beach. If my shop still there then me and my staff might be already dead ! I drove my car to watch the building after big wave and saw a big hole on the wall of the building. I always thanks god to myself whenever I drove a car a long the beach front. Anyway, I felt so sorry for many people dead by this big wave. I pray to the lord asking he won't allow this happen again.
